Description

The coat of arms of the Republic of Kazakhstan is depicted on the obverse of the coins in the central part. To the left and to the right of the coat of arms are elements of the national ornament. Along the circumference – the inscription QAZAQSTAN ULTTYQ BANKI • NATIONAL BANK OF KAZAKHSTAN. At the bottom is the inscription 200 TENGE, indicating the face value of the coin.

On the reverse is an image of Kanysh Satpayev (Qanysh Satbaev in Kazakh) – famous soviet geologist, organizer of science and public figure, first president of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR.
