Images and inscriptions of observe and back sides of coins are relief.

The lateral surface (drove) is grooved with 10 sectors of corrugation.

Averse: The state emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan, two-line inscription “50 TENGE”. From the right and left side of the denomination there is the element of national ornament. On the circumference there is the legend “NATIONAL BANK OF KAZAKHSTAN”.

Reverse: an image of star of insignia “Dostyk” on the central part, the legend with the name of the coin “STAR OF DOSTYK INSIGNIA” in Kazakh and Russian along the circumference,  Figure “2009” indicates the year of coinage.
