On December 8, 2026, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) will celebrate its 35th anniversary. The CIS is a regional international organization established in 1991 to develop cooperation between several former Soviet states. Within the CIS, countries cooperate in economic, humanitarian, cultural, legal, and other spheres, and coordinate individual issues of interstate significance. The organization’s activities are based on the principles of sovereign equality and respect for the independence of states.

The coin is made of 925 sterling silver using color printing technology. It weighs 31.1 grams, has a diameter of 38.61 mm, and is produced in proof quality. It has a denomination of 1,000 tenge and a mintage of 1,000 (one thousand) pieces.

The coin comes with certificate of authencity (COA) and in original box.
